Worthy Brother Knights, |
There will be a special Mass on May 11, Pentecost Sunday. As we do every year, there will be just one Mass for the entire St. Joseph’s community in the open area between the church and the school. Father Beto is asking the Knights to help with the preparations for the Mass. Every day of this week, May 5-9, men are needed to install the shade cloth and frames. On Friday May 9, men are needed in the morning to help bring chairs from Our Lady of Guadalupe in Santa Barbara. In the evening, we will sending a truck to Bishop Diego High School to bring the stage. The stage is rather heavy and we will need several strong men to move it. Please lend a hand. If you know other men of the community, even if they aren’t Knights, please ask them to help. It’s a lot of work but if there are many helping it will be much easier. On Saturday we will be setting up the chairs and on Sunday we will be taking everything down. |

Thanks to all the Knights who helped out with the Youth Day Concert, Sunday, April 6, by selling tri-tip sandwiches, especially our Grand Knight, Rufino Murillo, Ramon Flores and Javier Jasso. More than $500 was collected for the CCD program. Several Knights also helped to prepare the food for Father Beto’s birthday celebration. Thanks to all! Well done, brothers. |

Every year each council of the Knights of Columbus holds elections to choose the officers who will guide the council during the following year. In May’s meeting we will have nominations for the officers and the formal election will be held in the June meeting. This requires the participation of all members to make these important decisions. Please attend the May and June meetings. |
