      April 2008

	Worthy Brother Knight,
	Now that Lenten season is over, we will again be having our meetings at the regularly scheduled time of the second Friday of every month. The next meeting will be Friday April 11 at 7 P.M. Please plan on attending. We need everybody’s participation to make important decisions regarding council activities.
	The Knights will be helping out with the upcoming Youth Day Concert, Sunday, April 6, by selling tri-tip sandwiches. All proceeds will help St. Joseph’s CCD program. Grand Knight, Rufino Murillo is asking for help from the membership. If you can help, please give Rufino a call.
	The next First Degree will be at St. Raphael’s in Goleta, Council 5300 on Mon. April 14. Candidates should be present by 7 P.M.
	We will be discussing plans for our participation in the birthday celebration for our Chaplain, friend and pastor, Fr. Beto, (April 26) at the next meeting.
	A big thanks to all who helped make the bicycle raffle a great success. Gerardo Celio designed the tickets (they really looked professional), Rufino Murillo printed them up and distributed them and nearly every member helped sell the tickets. We collected over $700 (less the cost of the bicycle). We will now be able to fulfill our financial contribution to the new tabernacle. The Knights contributed most of the labor under the direction of our brother Armando Aguilar. Thanks to all!
	Financial Secretary Gerardo Celio asks that all members pay their annual dues now to avoid problems later. Please send your dues ($40) as soon as possible.
	The April meeting is scheduled for April 11 at 7 P.M. in Room #8 of the school building. Don’t miss it.
